Synergy Energy Solutions (Pty) Ltd is a South African solar installation company founded in 2010 and headquartered in Lyttelton Manor, Centurion, with full branches in Table View, Cape Town and Polokwane. We design, supply, install, certify and support turnkey energy systems for homes, businesses, farms and industrial sites across the country.
Our core offering is grid-tied, hybrid and off-grid solar PV paired with lithium battery backup — plus EV charging stations, hydronic underfloor heating and heat pump water heating for clients who want their whole energy system under one roof. We started before load shedding was a headline, before the SSEG registration process existed, and before South African homeowners had even heard of a lithium home battery. Fifteen years on, we have commissioned over 1 400 solar systems, deployed more than 10.8 MWh of battery storage and installed over 200 hydronic underfloor heating projects across Gauteng, the Western Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and the North West.

2010
Founded to fight rising Eskom costs
Synergy Energy Solutions (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2010 with a simple mission: cut the rapidly rising cost of energy in South African homes. The first systems we installed were heat pump water heating units and hydronic (water-based) underfloor heating — two technologies that slashed electricity bills long before solar was affordable.

2011
PV solar generation added — nearly 50 systems in year one
In 2011 we added photovoltaic solar generation to our product list and completed nearly 50 PV installations in that first year. At a time when solar power was still largely unknown in South African households, this made Synergy one of the earliest dedicated full-time PV installers in the country.

2012 – 2015
Championing solar while the rest of the market caught up
Long before rolling blackouts became a national talking point, we were educating homeowners, estate agents, architects and business owners on how rooftop PV could replace failing grid supply. We played a meaningful role in introducing and popularising solar as the credible answer to South Africa’s aging power infrastructure.

2016 – 2020
Hybrid inverters and lithium storage become the new standard
As Sunsynk, Deye, Victron and Pylontech matured, we transitioned most of our client base from grid-tied to hybrid systems with lithium battery backup. Synergy’s engineers built a reputation for carefully sizing systems around real measured consumption, not sales catalogues.

Tesla, Sigenergy and Sunsynk approvals — branches open in Cape Town and Polokwane
Tesla, Sigenergy and Sunsynk each audited our workmanship and appointed us as an approved installer for their batteries and inverters. In the same period we opened dedicated branches in Table View, Cape Town and Polokwane, Limpopo — bringing fully staffed Synergy installation crews to the Western Cape and northern provinces.
